HAWTHORNE, CA — A night out ended in tragedy early Friday morning when a woman was shot and killed outside a sports bar in Hawthorne, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department.
The fatal incident occurred around 1:50 a.m. in the 11000 block of South Inglewood Avenue, in the parking lot of a shopping center that houses the bar. Deputies from LASD and officers from the Hawthorne Police Department responded swiftly to 911 calls reporting a shooting.
Upon arrival, authorities found an adult female victim lying in the parking lot with multiple gunshot wounds. Despite efforts to provide aid, she was pronounced dead at the scene.
